Hi, my name is David Brown, also known as “Your Nordic Artist.” I’m a 32-year-old Norse pagan and I’m the artist for Ghost Viking Creations LLC. I am son of the owner, William Brown, a decorated retired military veteran with a military career of 20+ years.

Having a cocktail of mental health “disabilities” such as: C-PTSD, ADHD, Severe Depression, Bipolar Depression, as well as being on the Autism spectrum. Overtime, I managed to change my perspective and see my “disabilities” more as superpowers. My “disabilities” as well as the struggles and hardships I have faced throughout my life have allowed me to process things and view situations in a way the average person can’t. Instead of running from my past, I decided to turn and face them.

I’ve always been creative, and I’ve never really book smart by any means. Infact my grades were horrendous in school, and I never went to college. Instead, I opted to go to trade school for carpentry and construction. I excelled in woodworking, and I enjoy creating and building things with my hands. When I graduated, I started working at a home improvement store where over the span of 10 years, I built connections and learned the ins and outs of how a major company operated.

As I learned how they operated, I began to see how wasteful big companies were and how much perfectly good product, that could have been donated to help less fortunate, were tossed in order to meet a weekly quota. I decided I did not want to be a part of that and quit on the spot to create something that helps better the world.

One day as I was scrolling through social media, I saw a street performer doing spray paint art. I was very intrigued with the process and the amazing outcome and the joy, amazement, and happiness on the people who walked by the artist and I decided to watch tutorial videos on YouTube. Suggested videos popped up on wood burning, ring making, wood turning, and various other art forms. I got the tools and dove in headfirst into researching and practicing the various artforms. I began with spray paint art and quickly expanded overtime. With years of practice, trial and error, and countless hours of research, I decided to turn a hobby into a business. I have a ton of ambitious plans and ideas to continue expanding my skills and learning everything about everything I do and even teaching others what I’ve learned with no plans on stopping.

I hope to inspire and encourage anyone with mental struggles to change their perspective and show them anything is possible.
